I am Arnab Biswas, father of two daughters and an avid reader.

I work as a Data Scientist at EcoEnergy, Carrier Global Corporation.

Around 15 years back, I started my career as a software developer. Over years, I have worked in various organizations in the Telecom & Networking domain, e.g. , Cisco Systems, Nokia Siemens Networks, Sasken Communications etc. As a developer, I have worked on highly scalable, distributed, fault tolerant softwares to manage/provision telecom/IoT devices.

My current area of focus is Machine Learning for Predictive Maintenance in HVAC Industry. I like to share my experience in different on different data science related topics at various meetups.

I am believer of open source software and community. For last 10 years, I am regularly contributing to stackoverflow (profile) and various open source softwares. I also participate in Kaggle (currently a Kaggle Notebook & Discussion Expert).

As a Core Team Member of DataKind Bangalore, I have worked with multiple non profit organizations in India trying to solve their data related needs. I had the opportunity to work on StoryWeaver (Pratham Books) to derive insights on their content & reader base. I aspire to apply data science in solving one of the global problems related environment, poverty or education.
